World Pay
This is a merchant account that has been created especially for ecommerce web sites & internet traders. Like PayPal, you do not collect or process the credit card details through your own terminal. Instead all the payments are handled through the World Pay server. Customers will enter contact and or delivery details on your web site as normal, but will then be
transferred to the World Pay payment gateway to enter their credit card details. At the time of writing, World Pay will credit the money to your account at the end of a 30 day period. It is usually quick and easy to set up a World Pay merchant account especially for new businesses, although in our experience it is slightly more expensive than Paypal, see below.
WorldPay Merchant Account Fees
The Worldpay setup fee is around £100 with an additional annual fee (paid in advance ) of £160.00. Credit card transactions are charged at 4.5% of order value and debit cards 0.50p per transaction.
