 A Domain Name is a name string made up of letters, numbers and dashes separated by Periods with which the Domain Name System (DNS) maps to IP Addresses / Numbers and other information. This service carried a standard charge of £24.99. The second option is that we can purchase, register and configure a domain name for you. We will discuss the requirements with you beforehand, to allow us to find a domain name to suit your business. Then we carry out all the necessary DNS configuration and mapping, which usually takes around 12-24 hours, to point the domain name at your website. With the domain name bought by Absolute, we will automatically renew the domain name when notified, as opposed to if you have mapped an existing domain from a Third-Party Registrar. If you do not wish to renew the domain name please notify us as soon as possible and we will arrange this for you. This service carries a standard charge, for the purchase and configuration of the new domain name, of £29.99 for a .co.uk domain name, and £34.99 for a .com.
